Phillip Elias Areeda (January 28, 1930 † December 24, 1995)[1] was an American jurist. Areeda was a professor of law at Harvard University from 1961 until his death in 1995. In 1956, he was appointed special assistant in the White House office and in 1958 deputy special adviser to the president. [4] As Deputy Special Advisor, he helped develop and research studies conducted by White House staff dealing with economic and legal issues. Areeda held this position until the end of the Eisenhower administration. In 1961, he accepted a position at Harvard Law School and published the book Antitrust Analysis in 1967.
